I stand with Jemele Hill

jemele-hill

Last week, ESPN personality Jemele Hill posted a tweet in response to Kid Rock’s continuing attack on Colin Kaepernick calling President Donald Trump a White supremacist and unfit to lead the country.

The tweet has caused a lot of fiery reactions from the Right political spectrum and in the White House where many officials including WH press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders asked for the immediate firing of Hill while the network has issued a statement saying that Hill’s tweet was personal and doesn’t reflect the views of ESPN along with an apology from the co-host of SportsCenter at 6.

Even though she had to somewhat apologize for the extent of her tweet, Hill was on point on her criticism of Trump since he’s clearly surrounded by white supremacists who are pushing the country into bigger depths of white supremacy where black people still get treated like second class.

The most frustrating part of it is the fact ESPN president John Skipper has hypocritically stated that Jemele Hill’s tweet has violated the company’s social media policies while he went silent when Michelle Beadle did the exact same thing to defame colleague Stephen A. Smith over his truthful comments on the Ray Rice incident which led to Smith suspension by the network three summers ago.

How come he got suspended but not Michelle Beadle? Oh yeah, I forgot. She’s white women so she’s immune from any punishment although her action is clearly a fireable offense of ESPN social media policies. When white women play the victim card aka Damsel in distress, they get huge sympathies from the stupid crowd. They can even be hailed as a hero by mainstream media with their fake outrage.

Jemele Hill has all the rights to voice her opinions on 45 since she uses her own platform not ESPN/Disney platform and to ask for her resignation or firing is purely hypocritical since Trump has said vile things about black people especially President Obama on his Twitter account quite regularly.  The sad irony is that ESPN has been supporting a lot of liberal issues like gay rights, feminism, and immigration but not black people denouncing systemic racism while Fox Sports is allowing Black TV personalities such as Shannon Sharpe and Rob Parker to speak their mind about black issues without any restriction. That says a lot about ESPN’s main company Disney relationship with the Black community worldwide.

I have my issues with Jemele Hill on different subjects but in this case, I stand with her and those who truly can’t stand racism and white supremacy should do the same.

Liberal Hypocrisy at its best: ESPN conducting a mock slave auction live for its Football Fantasy segment.

0

Once again, ESPN has shown its true colors in its latest Football Fantasy segment.  Its recent piece has to be one of the most controversial stuff that the network has ever pulled and it does leave us with a nasty taste in our mouth.  Doing a mock slave auction live is beyond pathetic. It’s straight up racist and hypocritical.

Racist, because it brought us back to the slavery era when slaves were auctioned like animals to the highest bidder.   Well actually, we’re still in the slavery mode since most sports leagues have a form of a plantation in minor leagues and colleges.  The draft itself is a form of auction with players being used as prized livestock for various owners.

Hypocritical, because ESPN has shifted to the left political spectrum to pander Women and LGBT viewers but has kept its racist narrative towards black people with this mock draft.  Seriously, the network is worse than its counterpart Fox Sports One in term of racist reporting on black athletes.  I have no allegiance nor sympathy for neither side but I can tell you liberals are the biggest hypocrites out there with their double speak tactics.

This is a definitely big L ESPN just absorbed.  They have clearly insulted our intelligence with this stunt and brought new reasons to boycott the NFL this season.

Here the segment in question below and tell me what you think in the comments section.

PHIFE DAWG (1970-2016): Always on point

0

“Now here’s a funky introduction of how nice I am Tell your mother, tell your father, send a telegram” -Phife Dawg , Check The Rhime from A Low End Theory (1991).

Man o man, the main theme so far in 2016 has been definitely the sudden passing of two many childhood heroes or legendary personalities that have shaped our lives in a certain way. From Natalie Cole to David Bowie through Frances Cress Welsing, Glenn Frey and Maurice White, we have been saddened by their departure to the other side.

Now, another legend has left us for a better world and it’s none other than Malik Taylor, better known as Phife Dawg, the Five-Foot Assassin from the legendary group A Tribe Called Quest. Phife passed away last Thursday from complications related to Diabetes that he has been battling for more than 25 years. He was 45 years old.

I’ve been a big fan of Tribe since their debut album People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm came out in 1990, thanks to their funny but socially aware lyrics. I thought the face of Tribe was Q-Tip but as soon as I listened to their 2 classic followups, A Low End Theory and my personal favorite Midnight Marauders, I realized how valuable Phife has been for the group thanks to his slick and somewhat humorous rhymes.

We all gonna miss his sense of humor and candor in his demeanor and ATCQ will never be the same without him. Yes, a legend has left for a better world but he’ll never be forgotten.

YOU CAN HATE HER NOW, BUT SHE WON’T STOP NOW: The hate on Serena Williams has reached a whole new level.

SOTYCOV1221.lo.indd

Soon after the announcement by Sports Illustrated of naming Serena Williams the 2015 SI Sportsperson of The Year, the first female athlete since Mary Decker in 1983; negative responses toward the decision has reached Twitter and the magazine website.

3104It didn’t take too long to find out that most negative comments came from frustrated white people who seemed allergic to see a black person, especially a beautiful black woman winning an award that they believed should have been someone else.

It could have been golfer Jordan Spieth, fellow tennis player Novak Djokovic, Steph Curry from the Golden State Warriors or FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi (UGH!).

american-pharoahBut no, that “someone else” they’re referring to is American Pharaoh who became the first horse to complete the famed Triple Crown of Horse racing in more than 35 years.

A HORSE OVER SERENA?!!  A FREAKING HORSE?!!
Really? Seriously?

Man, I can’t believe how pathetic the hate toward Serena has become in this part of the world. I mean, to say that a horse is a much worthier recipient than a human being, a black woman to be precise, says it all about their mentality. Most of these idiots hate Serena throughout her career. As a matter of fact, they hate the Williams sisters from the day they arrived in the tennis world. They can’t stand Serena dominating her sport like any other great athlete because Tennis was never supposed a sport where non-white people would have excelled.

Serena has always been under scrutiny for a strong will to win and her undying desire to be the greatest at her sport. Who could fault her for that? This is one of the reasons I’ve been a strong fan of her and her sister Venus. Their will to be the best is what made them household names, pretty much like Tiger Woods during his dominant years in golf.

I wouldn’t have a problem if Novak Djokovic, Steph Curry or Jordan Spieth have won the award since they have done well in their respective sport, but Serena fully deserved it after winning 3 majors and finishing with the highest point totals in the WTA’s 40-year history. She would have completed the first calendar year Grand Slam since Steffi Graf in 1988 if it wasn’t for a semi-final loss to Roberta Vinci at the US Open.

It’s troublesome to read tweets like these below from people using a horse’s accomplishment and an online poll to voice their “displeasure” toward Serena.

Seriously, these haters can go fuck themselves with their hatred and leave the Queen of tennis alone.

ESPN Still Butthurt Over Ronda Rousey’s Loss

0

I know it has been over two weeks since that Ronda Rousey’s beatdown by Holly Holm at UFC 193, but I can’t stop thinking about ESPN being butthurt since they have heavily promoted the former Women’s Bantamweight champion.

Prior to the fight, right after her quick dismantling of Bethe Correia last July, Ronda Rousey started to believe in her own hype of being the Best Female Fighter of all time by calling out Floyd Mayweather and Leila Ali on a boxing ring. We all know that ESPN has been hating on Money for many years now and saw in Rousey a perfect opportunity to push its agenda against him by giving her this year’s ESPY for Fighter of the Year.

First Take and SportsNation were the two shows that heavily promoted Rousey’s BS where their respective hosts and biggest cheerleaders, Skip Bayless and Michelle Beadle, foolishly believed in her chances to defeat Floyd Mayweather.

Not only ESPN bought this nonsense about Ronda beating Floyd, they managed to sell it to a portion of a population who can’t stand the recently retired Mayweather due to his past issues with domestic violence. Feminists, manginas, white knights and simps fell to this delusion in a poll made by the people at SportsNation where 78% of its viewers believed that Rousey has all the tool to defeat Floyd. Sad but true.

Everything crashed and burned for the network and the feminist-pandering media when Holly Holm put an end to this stupidity with her beatdown of the former champ to capture the belt. The butthurt within ESPN personalities cheering for Ronda and UFC president Dana White was palpable that they all went into damage control to save face. The suspicious absence of Rousey loss as main topics on the following Monday and the fact it was not Skip and Stephen A debating on the subject the day after shows how cowards those two are. Speaking of that Tuesday edition, the main cast replacement, ESPN reporters Will Cain and Kate Fagan, spoke in a near 9 minutes debate on the cause of Rousey’s downfall. It was disappointing at first to see Fagan, the same Kate Fagan who exposed the sports media double standard on domestic violence when she questioned US Soccer federation to allow star goalie Hope Solo to play despite being charged for beating up her sister and nephew, used the feminist explanation of Ronda defeat by blaming men’s “excessive arrogance” in the UFC. Thankfully, her co-debater Cain shut her down by rightfully saying that Ronda’s arrogance and belief of her own hype contributed to her downfall making a parallel between her and Mike Tyson prior to his loss to Buster Douglas 25 years ago. See the video below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92_yLj_DKB0

The pain is so big that ESPN had to throw Serena Williams into the mix by comparing her US Open semi-final loss to Roberta Vinci to Ronda Rousey’s defeat to feel themselves better. What in the world Serena has to do with Ronda’s downfall. Pathetic, ESPN.

Holly Holm did a great service by defeating the manufactured champion to shut down the stupidity created by the media and feminists of seeing a woman beating a man in combat sport when everybody knows that it’s genetically not possible. She deserves the respect coming to her from his peers and fans alike. However, she still hasn’t received the props from ESPN personalities who shamelessly continues to promote Ronda Rousey despite losing her crown.

Seriously, ESPN. Stop being butthurt and give Holly Holm her proper dues. Your hero is done and she’ll never gonna reclaim the title anytime soon.

Down Goes Rousey

0

Many of you have witnessed, a weekend ago, the brutal pounding that Ronda Rousey received from Holly Holm, a former 10-time boxing champion, during the main event of UFC 193. Holm stopped the champion 59 seconds into the second round to capture the UFC Women’s Bantamweight belt in a sellout crowd at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

The signs were there for months when she started talking shit on Floyd Mayweather at the ESPYS after winning Best Fighter of the Year award back in July due to his domestic violence issues at the pleasure of feminists in the media like Michelle Beadle, Cari Champion, Ana Kasparian among others since she represents in their twisted mind a symbol “of power and empowerment.”

w1280xh966_GettyImages-497207086

To make matters worse, the famous boxing magazine The Ring, owned by Oscar de La Hoya, made a foolish decision of putting Rousey in the cover of its January 2016 edition at the expense of stars like Terrance Crawford, Gennady Golovkin, and Andre Ward. An MMA fighter, male or female, has no business to be in the cover of any boxing magazine.

Her ego got bigger when she publically stated that she can  “easily” defeat Mayweather and Laila Ali to a non-rule fight adding the poor sportsmanship she demonstrated towards her eventual conqueror by insulting her background and her credibility as a boxer.

Gracing cover of numerous sports and fitness magazine, along with TV show appearances and getting roles in various Hollywood projects were quite proofs that Rousey believed her own hype created by Dana White, ESPN and feminists.

This upset is not only a win for the sport, but it’s a big FUCK YOU to Dana White, ESPN, DeadSpin, feminists and SJWs for trying to con us with this nonsense that Ronda Rousey would beat any male boxer in a ring while getting demolished a female fighter with a boxing background. If this isn’t proof of Rousey’s shortcomings as far as striking abilities, imagine what Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino or Laila Ali can do to her. Don’t get me started with Floyd Mayweather.

With female fighters getting stronger and more complete, it will be hard for Rousey to recover from this loss because she simply doesn’t have the tools to be a complete fighter. Guess it would be best for her to stick with movies and TV appearances than trying to prove that she can still be the top draw in women MMA.

Here’s a clip of Ronda Rousey predicting exactly her demise during a conversation with Jimmy Fallon in an appearance in the Tonight Show weeks ago.

That’s what you get for being arrogant; disrespectful toward your opponent and talking shit about being “The Most Dominant female fighter ever in Mixed Martial Arts” when you won most fights with bums and nobodies. Eventually, it will come back to haunt you at any day and Holly Holm made it sure to happen.

THE DUNK OF DEATH REVISITED: 15 years later

I still remember that famous day in 2000, watching the game on TV between Team USA and France during the Sydney Olympics, when Vince Carter made a jaw dropping play that would defined his career and basketball forever.

It was late in the match when Carter stole the ball and drove toward the basket when he met France’s 7-2 center Frederic Weis on his path. Weis, the first-round pick in the 1999 Draft by the New York Knicks, has never played in the NBA due to contract issues.   For a moment, I thought Carter would picked up a charging foul, but I forgot that his nickname is Vinsanity and he can do some vicious dunks out of nowhere like he did so often during the regular season. Instead, he did something that is still giving me shivers 15 years later.

Carter jumped over the head of a frozen Weis with his legs spread and made a ferocious dunk that brought the whole arena into pandemonium.   This was a basketball moment that is simply called The Dunk of Death or Le Dunk de la Mort by the French media.

I saw many spectacular dunks from Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, Julius Erving and Shawn Kemp. However, I never saw a jaw-dropping throw down like the one in Sydney and thank goodness I didn’t eat a sandwich during the whole game.

When I looked back at this particular event, I still wonder what would have been if Vince Carter has kept this kind of display he shown at the Olympic throughout his NBA career.

Here’s the clip of the dunk below that has been immortalized by French commentators who described their feeling in a rather funny way.

The Passing of an underground legend: Sean Price (1972-2015)

I was out of words when I learned the devastating news, through Facebook, that Brooklyn Hip hop legend Sean Price passed away. According to his manager and representatives from Duck Down Records, Price died in his sleep this morning. He was 43.

Sean Price was well known as one half of the legendary duo Heltah Skeltah that he co-founded with his partner and childhood friend, Rock aka The Rockness Monstah. I became a fan of the duo in 1996 when they dropped their classic debut album Nocturnal that featured many solid hits such as Letha Brainz Blo, Operation Lock Down, Therapy and my favorite Leflaur Leflah Eshkoshka featuring fellow Boot Camp Clik members Originoo Gunz Clappaz (OGC).

Price has also released 4 solid solo albums including Monkey Barz, considered by many as his best album, and 4 mixtapes with Kimbo Price being his most popular. Despite a five year hiatus due to disappointing sales for their sophomore effort, Magnum Force, and Rock’s legal battle with Duck Down Records, Heltah Skeltah were reunited in 2005 and dropped three years later what appeared to be their final album, D.I.R.T. (Da Incredible Rap Team).

I will miss his charisma and sense of humor that made him a force in the Underground Hip Hop community. My prayers go to him and his family. REST IN POWER!!
